From time to time, we meet truly remarkable individuals on our journey of giving cancer education and raising awareness within communities. Today, we had the privilege of crossing paths with one such person — Elsie Helberg.
Elsie dedicates her time and energy to caring for 50 toddlers at ATKV AbbaSorg in Promosa, Potchefstroom. But her impact stretches far beyond the classroom. With great heart and initiative, she gathered members of the local community — including both educators at ATKV AbbaSorg and parents — to participate in a Cancervive THUTO activation.
The engagement was heartfelt and energising. Together, we shared knowledge, broke down misconceptions, and empowered those present with the understanding that early detection can save lives. We left feeling deeply grateful, inspired by the commitment of these individuals who will now carry the message back into their community.
