Throughout October, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well as November – also known as Movember – Cancervive hosted a series of impactful EduShows across South Africa. Partnering with organisations like News24, CSIR, Suzuki, various churches, military groups, schools, hospitals, and community organisations, we reached South Africans both online and in person to raise awareness about the life-saving importance of early detection.
Cancervive’s dedicated team of volunteers also utilized THUTO, our innovative Cancer Chatbot, to engage with individuals in the privacy of their own homes. This tool helped dispel myths and break down the stigmas surrounding cancer, providing valuable information and support at a personal level.
We extend a special thank you to the Cancervivers who volunteered their time and energy to educate communities on such a large scale. Their commitment and passion are integral to our mission of spreading cancer awareness and promoting early detection.
